I share my love of reading with my two daughters and my granddaughter. One daughter loves romance, the other loves mystery and my granddaughter, twenty-one, reads a variety of books. Reviewing books has introduced me to many authors that are new to me. When I read a book to review and enjoy it I usually try to obtain other books by that author. I work part-time and my main interest is reading.

The Gift of Murder -  5 Stars

An Anthology of Holiday Crime Stories to

Benefit Toys for Tots

Edited by John M. Floyd

Wolfmont Press, 2009, 263 Pages

ISBN No. 978-1-60364-010-7

A Gift of Murder is an exciting collection of short stories based on Christmas but these stories are not your usual holiday tales.  Nineteen authors have contributed their work to this anthology.  Each author has taken a different approach and all the stories make for interesting reading.  John M. Floyd has done a great job of editing.  Tony Burton created the stunning cover.

The book even contains a story entitled “The Werewolf’s Christmas” by Bill Crider.  Peg Herring takes a different approach to Christmas with “The Gift of the Margi”.  Stefanie Lazer tells of a mother’s ordeal trying to locate “the hottest toy of the season”.

This is the fourth year that Wolfmont has published an anthology to benefit Toys for Tots and this is the best year yet.    The book will make a wonderful gift for any friend that enjoys reading.
