Kyle is the out of wedlock son of a successful lawyer. Kyle lost his
father, Liam, at the age of fourteen. Even though Kyle had a loving relationship
with his mother, he longed for the same with his father.
Kyle was very
athletic and loved to play baseball. Whenever he saw a man with gray hair
watching the game, he often wondered if it was his father. Liam is married to
another woman and is not a part of Kyle’s life.
Kyle has no real purpose
in life and spends his time drinking, playing video games and getting mixed up
with the wrong kind of women.
Twelve years after the death of Liam, his
former partner is murdered. Kyle becomes a suspect and his only hope is to try
and find the real killer. Many questions are now going through Kyle’s mind. Did
his father really die of a heart attack? Kyle is being stalked by the
Philadelphia Mob Boss and is being offered “hush money” by a U.S. Senator. Why?
What is going on?
Is Kyle successful at finding the real
killer?
William Lashner had my full attention right from the very first
page of this novel. I felt drawn to Kyle even though he had several flaws. There
are many other interesting characters that keep this novel refreshing and moving
at a rapid pace. William Lashner always manages to add a touch of humor to his
suspense novels and this book is no exception.
Blood and Bone is
a stand-alone novel that will keep the reader in suspense while turning the
pages.
